New York Water Taxi + Water Taxi Beaches
Launched in New York. Claimed by the world.
The Challenge
New York moves underground and on foot.
The harbor wasn’t part of daily transportation.
There was no waterborne system based in NYC.
Ridership was zero.
Two audiences had to be convinced at once:
Commuters who needed reliability.
Visitors who wanted the city without feeling like tourists.
Demand required both.

What We Built
We positioned the water as commute and destination.
Rush hour: speed and utility.
Off-peak: skyline and waterfront access.
Through sustained local, national, and international press, entertainment integrations, and waterfront partnerships, we embedded both narratives into culture.
As demand grew, the brand expanded with it.
Water Taxi Beaches turned piers into destinations. Sand, music, palm trees and the skyline as backdrop.
Long Island City. South Street Seaport. Governors Island.
The Results
Zero ridership to daily demand.
$12M annual earned media at peak.
Featured in 61 countries.
27 products and services launched.
31 TV shows, 11 feature films.
Beaches expanded to three locations.
The Impact
The first waterborne transportation system based in NYC — adopted for commuting and chosen as a destination.
From novelty to infrastructure.
Sustained for more than a decade.
